Successfully completed two-day workshop on Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in Education
We would like to inform that the two-day workshop on “Climate Change in Education and Disaster Risk Minimization (DRR)” organized in cooperation with Principal Association Nepal (PAN) and Helping Hands Nepal has successfully completed.
35 PAN members of Kavre, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu, along with honorable guests in this workshop, ward no. Chairman of 16 Rojina Shrestha, ward no. Kavita Das, a member of 17, representatives of Kathmandu Metropolitan Education Department, government officials, and parents had the participation.
The features of the program were also included the distribution of First Aid kits ( First Aid kits ) to schools.
Special thanks to our amazing facilitators Chandra Mainali and Dhanbahadur Shrestha, PAN President Sudam Gautam, Program Manager Jiva Pokhrel at Helping Hands Nepal, and the HESRA team.
The workshop discussed and practiced in the school on incorporating climate change education and disaster preparation, and sustaining and empowering communities.

2-Day Workshop on Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in Education Conducted Successfully
We are delighted to share the successful completion of the two-day workshop on “Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in Education”, organized by the Principals Association of Nepal (PAN) and supported by Helping Hands Nepal!
This transformative event brought together 35 PAN members from Kavre, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, and Kathmandu, along with esteemed guests including Ward 16 Chairperson Rojina Shrestha, Ward 17 Member Kabita Das, representatives from the Kathmandu Metro Education Department, government officials, and parents.
A key highlight of the program was the distribution of First Aid Kits to schools, further supporting disaster preparedness efforts.
Special thanks to our incredible facilitators Chandra Mainali and Dhan Bahadur Shrestha, PAN President Sudam Gautam, Helping Hands Nepal Program Manager Jiba Pokharel, and the HESRA Team for their invaluable contributions.
This workshop is part of PAN’s ongoing commitment to conducting various educational training programs and workshops for community school teachers, headteachers, and stakeholders across different districts, in collaboration with Helping Hands Nepal and other agencies dedicated to enhancing the education sector.
The sessions focused on integrating climate change education and disaster preparedness into schools, empowering communities to build resilience and sustainability.
