The Principals Association of Nepal (PAN) is honored to have a team of seasoned professionals and educators on its Advisory Board. These individuals bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and a shared commitment to advancing educational leadership in Nepal.

Meet Our Advisors:

1. Dr. Kal Bahadur Rokaya

Former Chairperson, Karnali Development Commission

Background: Sumy State University. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Water Quality and Wastewater Treatment Management and Recycling Technology/Technician

2. Prof. Dr. Binayak Prasad Rajbhandari

Background: HICAST, Chairperson
professional experience of over 4 decades on agronomy, particularly on exploitation of neglected and minor crops like buckwheat, millets and some wild edible plants; bio-intensive farming system (agro-ecology); fertilizer management and agro-physiological aspects of yield formation

3. Jagadish Chandra Pokharel

Vice Chairman , national Planning Commission, Nepal

Background : Dr. Jagadish C Pokharel has PhD in Regional Planning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, USA., Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from University of Hawaii, Manoa, Bachelors in Architecture from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He was Vice Chairman of National Planning Commission (NPC) of Nepal and member for over five years in the commission. As a vice chairman he led the post conflict reconstruction and national development planning in Nepal. Prior to joining NPC, he had served as an advisor to the government of Nepal, International agencies i.e. UN Agencies, world bank and ADB. He was member of high-level task forces and commissions of Government of Nepal including High level Decentralization commission, Mid and Far Western Development Regions overall development, Dalit upliftment Strategy Preparation Committee and Janajati Upliftment Strategy Preparation Committee.His area of interest includes decentralized governance, regional development planning and environmental management. His research interest includes the role of power in decision making. Dr. Pokharel is the Chairman of Nepal Institute for Urban and Regional Studies.

4. Dr. Man Bahadur Bishwakarma

Former Security ,Government of Nepal

Background: Dr. Man Bahadur Bishwakarma has completed his postdoc research on food security as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar (2016/17) at Brandeis University, USA. He obtained PhD in Social Inclusion in Microfinance in 2010 from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He did postgraduate diploma in Social Studies from the ISS, Netherlands (2004), MA (Economics) in Rural and Cooperative Development (2000) and MBA (1991) in financial management from Tribhuvan University, Diploma (1997) in Agro-Cooperatives Management from Japan. He has long working experience with various international development agencies such as GTZ, Save the Children, UNICEF, CWS UK, UNDP among others.

Our Advisory Board plays a crucial role in guiding and shaping the initiatives of PAN. They provide strategic advice, lend their expertise to key decision-making processes, and offer insights that contribute to the overall success of our organization.
